Interpret and apply plumbing statutes to inspections. Interpret product listings and installation requirements. Read and interpret construction plans in conjunction with actual construction. Check the design, construction and location of systems for compliance with state and municipal plumbing regulations and related standards. Inspect and regulate installations of plumbing systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.Provide coaching to employees and provide input into performance evaluations. Conduct inspections and plan review requiring State of Oregon A-level Plumbing Inspector and State of Oregon Residential Plumbing Inspector certifications. Serve as Lead Worker to the section including the following: daily planning and work assignments of staff assist supervisor in performance discussions and development of performance appraisals for assigned employees. Review commercial and industrial plumbing plans and specifications. Check design, construction and quality of materials and location of plumbing systems. Inspect residential and commercial buildings for compliance with all plumbing codes, ordinances, standards, rules, and regulations.
